Enrichment Programs

Music

Ms. Brenda visits each classroom with a fun enrichment program using music and drama. She uses puppets, interactive drama and music to teach the children Bible stories and reinforce classroom themes and activities. Currently Brenda is teaching on the children of Israel going into the Promised Land and the Walls of Jericho.

Denver School of Gymnastics

Joe Walker with DSG has been doing gymnastics at the center for the past 9 years. The children just love the class, and he teaches them so much. The classes are available for children in the Sonbeams (they MUST be potty trained), Shining Lights, Sonshine Express, Sonshine Kids and the summer Elementary class. Before and Afterschool Program

The Sonshine Center offers a Before and Afterschool program for FCA elementary age students only. Children are offered an afternoon snack and are provided opportunities to engage in fun and educational activities, including games, reading, arts and crafts, playground play as well as time to do homework.

Elementary Summer Camp

The Sonshine Center is pleased to offer an Elementary Aged Summer Camp! This exciting program offers a wide variety of fun activities and field trips each week. Children will participate in special theme days such as Water Days, Bike Days, Electronic Days, as well as weekly sessions including Basketball, Dance, Soccer, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Survival Week, Jewelry Making, Baseball, Drama, Film Making, Mad Science, Computers, Cooking, Circus & Carnival and much, much more! Weekly field trips by bus are planned to fun places such as Casa Bonita, Adventure Golf, the US Mint, Bowling, Lakeside Amusement Park, Tiny Town, Chuck-E-Cheese, Natural History Museum, Denver Zoo, Coldstone Creamery and a variety of area parks.
