Sonshine Kids

Welcome to The Sonshine Kids!

Our format is planned to accommodate both pre-kindergarten and daycare programs. This class offers a pre-kindergarten program (8:00-11:00) as well as part-time daycare in the mornings (6:30-12:00) and afternoons (12:00-6:00) and full-time daycare. Children may bring their own early breakfast (we will provide milk only for this) but must be finished eating by 8:00 a.m.

Also, since the pre-kindergarten session begins at 8:00, it is important for all the morning part-time children to arrive by that time so the pre-kindergarten learning activities will not be disrupted. At 11:00 the pre-kindergarten only children will be dismissed and we will proceed with our daycare routine. Lunch will be served at 12:00 and nap-time will be from 1:00-2:30. This will be followed by an afternoon snack and fun activities until 6:00.

More specifically, our pre-kindergarten class will consist of many hands-on activities presented in a variety of centers. These will include Arts and Crafts, Manipulatives, Library/Listening, Dramatic Play, Language/Math, Sensory, and Science. We will also incorporate Bible teaching, stories, songs, games, snack, playground time and bimonthly field trips. Again, please be aware that the pre-kindergarten time from 8:00-11:00 is a specific learning time where the focus is to prepare for kindergarten.
