Welcome to the Infant Center, The Little Blessings, Cherubs and Toddler's Lil' Lions and Lambs!
Little Blessings
Babies enrolled in the Little Blessings are registered for two or more set full days per week. Half-day programs are not available. Our teachers are committed to providing a loving and nurturing environment for your little one. Babies will be allowed to grow and develop at their own rate. The flexible atmosphere allows babies to be fed on demand and we will be happy to incorporate parent directed schedules. The Little Blessings room has separate sleeping and awake rooms to allow sleeping and awake babies the opportunity to play and sleep on their own schedule. Daily reports will be provided outlining your child’s activities throughout the day including their feeding schedule, changing schedule, sleeping patterns as well as anything we feel should be brought to your attention. We highly encourage parents to stop by and nurse or feed their infants. This room offers a wide variety of age appropriate toys, equipment and music to stimulate your infant’s natural curiosity and development.
Cherubs
The Cherubs room is an extension of the Little Blessings. Babies enrolled in the Cherubs are registered for two or more set full days per week. Half-day programs are not available. Our teachers are committed to providing a loving and nurturing environment for your little one. This is an exciting time filled with many accomplishments and new firsts for your little one. Following closely with your desired schedule, we will begin offering suggestions as we evaluate your baby’s eating and sleeping patterns. We will encourage and gently transition each baby’s individual needs and make them compatible until they flow into a more set schedule. The closer we come to this goal, we will be able to do more classroom activities such as outdoor play, stroller walks, water days, snacks and lunches together. Learning to connect to a set schedule is overall preparation to success in future classes at the Sonshine Center. Daily reports will be provided outlining your child’s activities throughout the day including their changing schedule, feeding schedule and food amounts, sleeping times as well as any other observations of interest to you. As your baby approaches finger foods, items will be available off the center’s monthly lunch menu. This room offers quality time with each baby helping them achieve sitting up, crawling, standing and eventually walking. We also provide a wide variety of age appropriate toys, equipment and music to stimulate your baby’s natural curiosity and development.

Lil’ Lions & Lambs
The majority of the day’s activities will be free play. At this stage of development, children learn by doing. They enjoy a relaxed environment of free play and a wide variety of toys. Children are experiencing new found independence and will often choose to play by themselves or with a teacher. As the year goes on, they will start interacting with other children more.
In our class we expose the children to several fun and educational activities. These include: musical instruments, music and dancing, stories, puzzles, Playdough, blocks, Lego, cars, dolls and stuffed animals, balls, simple arts and crafts, children's movies, and outside play as weather permits.
For many children, this is their first experience away from mom and dad. The beginning can be a little tough on both the children and parents. It really does not take long for the children to settle into the routine. We have learned that open communication is key in a smooth transition into daycare.
If you select a half-day schedule, we recommend the morning session. We have found that it is easier for children to come play and then go home for lunch and nap.
